Molte sono le possibilità di trovare alloggio ad Ischia. Tutti gli appartamenti si caratterizzano per l’angolo giardino privato o per la terrazza con vista sul mare. La struttura è dotata di un ampio parcheggio.
Il Residence VILLA RAVINO é situato in una tranquilla e panoramica posizione, nel versante sud-ovest dell'Isola.

La posizione ideale del Residence permette, in maniera semplice, di arrivare a piedi in 15/20 minuti nel centro storico di Forio, sulle spiaggie limitrofe ed ai famosi Giardini termali "Poseidon".
I negozi di alimentari, che forniscono anche servizio a domicilio, distano 5 minuti a piedi. La fermata dell' autobus è a circa 100 mt. Il parcheggio è situato davanti al residence.
Il piccolo porto turistico di Forio è uno scalo per soli aliscafi. I porti di Casamicciola e Ischia Porto,
attrezzati per lo scalo sia di aliscafi che di navi traghetto, distano, rispettivamente, 7 e 12 km. Su richiesta è possibile organizzare il transfer dall’Aereoporto di Capodichino o dalla stazione ferroviaria direttamente a Villa Ravino e viceversa.

Il Residence VILLA RAVINO è immerso in un ampio giardino di circa 5.000 mq., meta di numerosi appassionati, poichè ricco di rare piante esotiche, palme, pini, agrumi e ulivi. Questo piccolo paradiso naturale offre una suggestiva vista panoramica sul mare.

Per i nostri ospiti offriamo luminosi monolocali e bilocali per un max. di 5 persone, tutti arredati in modo individuale, in tipico stile mediterraneo, con rilassanti colori pastello, tipici della nostra architettura. Ogni appartamento è fornito di angolo cottura, WC/D, giardinetto o terrazza, attrezzati per mangiare all'aperto. Il servizio include: riscaldamento, acqua, gas, luce, uso delle piscine, sedie sdraio, lettini, ombrelloni, cambio settimanale della biancheria. Su richiesta e a pagamento sono: la pulizia giornaliera, la colazione ed il SAT-TV. Si effettua la spesa a domicilio, al fine di riempire, a vostra scelta, la dispensa, ad esempio all'arrivo. Accettiamo volentieri anche gruppi di persone con necessità particolari, in periodi da concordare...

Giardini Ravino nascono cinque anni fa dal coraggio di trasformare in realtà un sogno “coltivato” a lungo. Giuseppe D'Ambra , marittimo di lungo corso e grande appassionato di piante grasse (cactacee, succulente) e palme, ritornava dai suoi viaggi intorno al mondo con borse piene di talee e semi di piante particolari, uniche in Italia ed Europa. Il clima mite dell'isola d'Ischia e l'esposizione ad ovest di Villa Ravino hanno reso possibile la crescita e la riproduzione di queste piante, uniche per genere e dimensione.


Un capitale enorme che, con grande dedizione e sacrificio, la famiglia D'Ambra ha voluto rendere fruibile a tutti. Con la regia del padre, anhce la nuova generazione, forti di una passione quasi ‘genetica', nata e cresciuta con loro, hanno creato un giardino botanico aperto al pubblico; una iniziativa che per molti versi può sembrare inusuale, ma che proprio per la sua particolarità è sembrata vincente.


Una sfida entusiasmante alla cui base, sono state effettuate serie considerazioni di sostenibilità economica ed ambientale; l'isola d'Ischia è oggi una delle mete turistiche più frequentate d'Italia, con una potenzialità che la vede concorrere con località europee di fama mondiale.



Solo i dati ufficiali, che non possono tenere conto delle decine di realtà non dichiarate, attestano presenze intorno ai sei milioni l'anno nell'arco di sette, otto mesi tra marzo ed ottobre; l'incremento costante di tale dato fa sì che l'attività ricettiva costituisca il fulcro dell'economia isolana. Purtroppo la maggioranza dell'imprenditoria locale ha ritenuto opportuno investire nell'ampliamento delle strutture (molto spesso in violazione delle norme urbanistiche) piuttosto che nella conservazione dell'ambiente sfigurando, conseguentemente, l'immagine di Ischia come Isola Verde e ‘paradiso per le vacanze'.

The exotic trees include palms, olive, lemon and orange. Cascading over the walls, pergolas and terraces are grape vines as well as numerous flowering climbers - providing a multitude of rich colours. Thank you for expressing your interest. Many of you undoubtedly already know ISCHIA, but for those who don’t , we would like to give you some information:
The island of ISCHIA is near Capri, in the Gulf of Naples. It is famous worldwide because of its volcanic origin: an island in the Mediterranean with a hint of the exotic, thanks to a marvellous climate. Rich vegetation, lively colours also in the winter months, summer activities from springtime to November with beaches … small romantic coves… boat trips … night life. Excursions to the Epomeo area,horse trekking, possibility of cultural visits to the archaeological sites of Pompei, Paestum, Ercolano, Vesuvius, along the Costa Amalfitana, to Capri etc.
This is only one of the island’s aspects. Indeed, in these magnificent surroundings beneficial thermal water cures are also available, in addition to mud bath treatment, inhalations and many other therapies which can be useful in treating rheumatic ailments, in speeding up healing after accidents and … which are also rejuvenating. So you can combine the useful with the pleasant.

It doesn’t only involve renting an apartment, but also enjoying the advantages of a well-organized establishment, managed by the owners themselves who recreate the real atmosphere of a Guest House. You can enjoy a thermal bath every morning with pure water that springs at a temperature of roughly 38° as well as the outside pool. In the garden, with southern vegetation made up of rare exotic plants, there are many areas in which to relax, with deckchairs and day-beds, a solarium for sun-lovers. All the apartments have a private garden area or a terrace on which to dine, and indoor heating. On 2005 will be open our LOUNGE BAR in the Botanic Garden, to have a coffee, a little snack, to read a news paper in an marvellous ambiance.
Shops are easily reached, just 10 minutes walk ( also with home delivery); the town centre and, in the opposite direction, the Citara beach with the Poseidon gardens are only about 20 minutes away. There is a bus stop within 150 ms. with connections for the whole island. The island bus service is good, with frequent buses to all the main points of interest. Car-hire is reasonably priced.
We would like to draw your attention to our special offers before and after Easter time, also in October. From November to March, winter months longtime guests’ are welcome, (with special agreements) when Ischia appears as the typical Mediterranean island : with a few tourists, the easy contact with its very nice and agreeable local population.
For a def reservation we ask 1/2 of the rent in advance when booking. The weekly rate understands at apartment, not at person . The price includes weekly change of the linen.
Daily maid service on request on payment.
We can provide your transport from the Naples’ airport to Villa Ravino at the price of € 40.-- per person, one way (min. 2 persons, 2004 ) But it is very easy to reach the harbour of Naples and cross the sea on your one. We give all the necessary information with our booking-confirmation, also for the guests arriving by car or train. The same distance in the opposite direction is the Citara beach ending with the famous Poseidon Spa Gardens. There is a well serviced bus stop within 150 m of Villa Ravino with connections to the whole island. Shops and mini-markets are easy to reach, just 10 minutes walk (home delivery is offered). Villa Ravino offers private off-street parking.

Transport to Villa Ravino
We can arrange taxi and sea transfers between Naples Aiport (Capodichino) and Villa Ravino. For those who wish to make their own arrangements, there are public buses and taxi’s to take you from the airport to Naples harbour and then regular Ferryboats (Traghetto) and Hydrofoil (Aliscafo) leaving from the harbour of Naples (Molo Beverello) to Ischia or from Pozzuoli to Ischia Porto or Casamicciola and Forio.

A speciality of Signor Peppino are succulent plants and cacti. These are abundant throughout the garden and obviously thrive in the Ischia climate.
